Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids causes pain, swelling and bleeding. It is very common in our country. Treatment of hemorrhoids is done with non-progressive conditions with drugs and non-operative procedures.

Non-operative procedures are performed on an outpatient basis. No anesthesia is applied in these procedures nor local anesthesia applied circumference of the breech. This process takes a very short time.

1. Sclerotherapy : A very thin needle is used for this procedure, and a special drug is given to the patient to treat the hemorrhoids.

2. Band Ligation : A rubber band is placed on the bottom of the hemorrhoids with a special tool. With this method, the feeding of thehemorrhoids is broken down and it will fall.

3. Infrared Coagulation : With a special device, the hemorrhoids is treated with light.

In advanced cases, surgery is recommended. The operation can be performed under general anesthesia, under spinal anesthesia or under local anesthesia. There are different options for surgery. The surgical method is decided  based on the examination of the patient.

In classical surgery, the hemorrhoid nozzle is cut out. With this method, there is more postoperative pain.After surgery the patient will need to rest for about two weeks.

Using the longo method, the ring-shaped tissue is removed from the top of the hemorrhoids with a special tool. There is less pain with this method than with  the classical method. Resting time is usually shorter.

4. Hemorrhoid Treatment With Laser : This is a treatment method that relies on burning hemorrhoids by laser.

It is the first choice for all patients. Laser method is a very comfortable treatment for the patient. There is little or no bleeding during and after the operation. Patients can return to their social lives the same day or one day later. There is no problem in stool and gas retention. After 10 – 15 minutes of operation, the patient is completely treated. The chance of recurrence after hemorrhoid surgery is low.
